It’s that time of the week again as Colorado football takes the field this weekend against Arizona State with a chance to pull one win closer to bowl eligibility.

Before the season, if I had told you that guys like Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter were responsible for a massive turnaround and they’d have the Buffaloes three wins away from making it to a bowl at the beginning of November, you would’ve called me crazy.

Sanders is in the middle of a Heisman Trophy race while Hunter is recovering from an injury he suffered against Colorado State a few weeks ago.

Hunter missed both the Oregon and USC games and while he may have helped the Buffaloes come back against the Trojans last week, his presence wouldn’t have made a huge difference in the Oregon game as it was a blowout.

But will Hunter be back this week as the Buffaloes travel to Tempe?

Is Travis Hunter playing against Arizona State?

According to the latest report from ESPN, Hunter is likely to miss the next two games for Colorado, so the Buffaloes likely won’t see him back on the field until Oct. 28 when they go to UCLA. He’ll likely be out for sure on Saturday against Arizona State and then again next Friday against Stanford.

That’ll be a big blow to this team, especially since he’s a star on both sides of the ball. There’s still a good chance Colorado wins the next two games without him, but his presence will definitely be missed.

All of the Travis Hunter fans will have to wait until at least November to see him back in action.
