2. Dillon Gabriel accounts for 400 total yards

OU quarterback Dillon Gabriel has been enjoying the best start to a season of his storied college football career. Through five games in 2023, he has thrown for 1,593 yards, 15 touchdowns, and only two interceptions. He’s completing 75 percent of his passes, too, and is showing a consistency that he lacked last year.

The 5-foot-11 senior threw for 366 yards, three touchdowns, and an interception while rushing for 37 yards against Iowa State last week. He transferred to Norman, Okla. last year after three years with Central Florida and is certainly showing special poise to start his fifth season of college football.

The Hawaii native will clearly be the key to Oklahoma’s chances for victory on Saturday. Look for OU to sling it with Gabriel on Saturday in order to keep up with Quinn Ewers and the high-octane Texas offense.
