College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 7
If you wanted to be treated to some wild college football action from the get-go on Saturday, you were in luck in Week 6. There’s almost no better way to kick off a ranked weekend of college football than with the Red River Rivalry.
While we did get some solid Friday night action with Kansas State trying to show that it belongs back in the AP Top 25, Oklahoma State was able to take care of the Wildcats.
Saturday’s Big 12 battle between Texas and Oklahoma took center stage. It had just about anything you could think of from blocked punts to bloody hands to points on points (in the first half). The Red River Rivalry did not disappoint as the No. 3 Longhorns tried to hold off the No. 12 Sooners in a battle of the unbeaten. This was a much better game than last year and Oklahoma got some revenge.
Alabama went to Texas A&M in the mid-afternoon slate and the Tide were able to overcome a halftime deficit to win a close one, 26-20. Nick Saban continues to own his former assistants.
Georgia hosted Kentucky in the night slate while Notre Dame went to Louisville as both AP Top 25 matchups grabbed everyone’s attention. Georgia raced to a big win while Notre Dame didn’t have it as easy as the favorite.
USC ended the night with a thrilling three-overtime win over Arizona.
