We update the power rankings for the Big 12 every week. This week saw some a big matchup between undefeated teams and a sliding TCU team.

Welcome to the Week 6 Big 12 Power Rankings! As usual, the Big 12 did not disappoint, especially in the featured and primetime games. While the newcomers to the Big 12 are struggling a bit, the big dogs in the conference are showing out and making a statement as one of the best teams in the country.

The week was highlighted by the Red River Rivalry. ESPN College Gameday made an appearance at the Texas State Fair and the crowds truly showed up for the showdown at the Cotton Bowl.

The game was a shootout, but more to that later in the rankings. For now, let’s jump into the teams that are struggling to find their footing so far this year.

14. UCF Knights (3-3, 0-2 conference)

It was a rough showing for the Knights, who finally got their starting quarterback back after missing three games due to a leg injury. They needed a big game, especially a win against a great team. Unfortunately, things didn’t swing their way. Kansas easily handled the Knights, who didn’t even score until the 3rd quarter of the game. The defense looked just as inept as the offense, allowing almost 400 rushing yards to the Jayhawks. UCF has a bye week, then heads into Normal in Week 8.
