9. Texas Tech Red Raiders (3-3, 2-1 conference)

Texas Tech came into this season as a dark horse to win the conference. But their two close losses to open the season are not helping their odds. Their dominant win over Baylor though in Waco have helped their chances. This is still a good team, but they face a tough matchup against the Kansas State Wildcats who are coming off a heartbreaking loss in Stillwater.

8. Oklahoma State Cowboys (3-2, 1-1 conference)

This team has not looked like a typical Oklahoma State team. The offense has slowed down tremendously, and the offensive scoring just isn’t there. Their terrible loss at home to South Alabama won’t help their case, but a win against the Kansas State Wildcats just might. The Cowboys look to stay the course when they take on the other Kansas team on Saturday at home.

7. Iowa State Cyclones (3-3, 2-1 conference)

Their dominant win over Oklahoma State and TCU have helped propel the Cyclones into the upper tier of the Big 12. The loss to Ohio and a blowout loss to OU is a bad look, but Iowa State looked more balanced against the Horned Frogs last week. They take the team on the road to Cincinnati on Saturday for an early kickoff.
