All the eyes in the college football world will be on Boulder on Friday night. Colorado football will host Stanford in a fun Week 7 Pac-12 duel. While the Buffaloes are heavy favorites, people will be tuning in to see the high-powered offense of Colorado and, well, Deion Sanders.

The most polarizing head coach in college football has turned the sport on its head and the talent turnaround he’s made in just one offseason in Boulder has been incredible.

Last year, the Buffaloes didn’t have a single player who moved the needle for anyone, but now Colorado is laden with stars. One of those stars is former five-star and No. 1 overall recruit in the 2022 class Travis Hunter. He has been one of the most impressive players on the team and a major reason for Colorado’s hefty turnaround this year.

Unfortunately, the two-way star has been injured ever since the Colorado State game when he reportedly lacerated his liver on a hard hit by a Rams defender on the sidelines.

Could he be back on Friday night, though?

Is Travis Hunter playing against Stanford?

This will be the question on everyone’s minds before they tune in on Friday night because Hunter is the star of the show. He’s the most talented player on the team and that includes superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders who already has over 2,000 passing yards in his first six games as an FBS starter.

The question surrounding Hunter’s health has been a hot topic in Sanders’ press conferences and while the superstar sophomore itching to get back on the field, Deion has been letting him rest up.

However, he could be back on Friday night as his return is likely listed as ‘questionable’. But Sanders did give everyone hope by saying that there’s a “tremendous chance” Hunter returns.

I would say this is a game-time decision, but Sanders’ quote makes it seem like his star two-way player is leaning more toward probable than doubtful.

We’ll just have to tune in on Friday to see what the verdict is.
