Colorado football: Travis Hunter scores filthy TD in first game back from injury
Folks, Travis Hunter is so back.
Well, Colorado football seems to be back, too, but Hunter ignited the crowd on Friday night as he finally returned to action after missing a few games following an injury to his midsection that he suffered on a dirty hit against Colorado State.
But he finally returned to action against Stanford on Friday night and immediately had an impact.
The two-way star not only looked good on the defensive side of the ball to start the game, but he also scored his first touchdown as a Colorado Buffalo in the first quarter.
And it was filthy.
Just watch Hunter juke a defender out of his shoes to score his first touchdown of the season and at the FBS level to put Colorado up 14-0 in the first quarter.
That’s a Madden move if I’ve ever seen one. Poor defender.
Travis Hunter makes Colorado that much better
You could see right away that Hunter makes the Buffaloes a better football team and while they probably wouldn’t have beaten USC or Oregon with him healthy, it didn’t help that he was out.
Now that he’s back, Colorado becomes a much more dangerous team on both sides of the ball.
And I’m not going to sit here and toot my own horn or anything, but I did predict that Hunter would not only play against Stanford but also score his first touchdown of the season. If only I would have bet on this to actually happen.
If you’re not watching Colorado and Stanford on Friday night, you’re missing the Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter show.
