College Football Rankings 2023: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 8

After picking up their biggest win of the season, the Sooners got a bye in Week 7. Texas, too, got a bye, but this just felt like Oklahoma earned it.

After the emotional win in the Red River Rivalry, the Sooners need a week to kind of decompress and no suffer a hangover game. Dillon Gabriel and Co. are undefeated to start the year and it feels like this team has completely turned things around from Brent Venables’ first season.

Oklahoma fans can no longer be salty about Lincoln Riley leaving for USC because the Sooners are better, at this point, this season.

There aren’t many teams that have shocked me this season in a good way, and Oklahoma is definitely one of them.

That Red River win will be talked about for years.
