Big 12 Football Power Rankings After Week 7

We update the Big 12 Football Power Rankings every week. While the top two teams were on a bye, we saw some movement from Iowa State and BYU.

Welcome to the Week 7 Big 12 Football Power Rankings! We’re past the mid-season point for these teams, and the Big 12 race is becoming a lot tighter and more competitive. It’s still a two-team race for the Big 12 championship, but the next four weeks will see a lot of movement for the teams in the middle of the pack.

The week started off with a shootout and a Hail Mary prayer on Thursday night in an exciting ending between West Virginia and Houston.

Kansas and Iowa State roll into a bye week, the former coming into it with a surprising loss to Oklahoma State. Iowa State continues to win against lesser Big 12 football opponents.

Any team has the chance to still take it, so let’s see where everyone falls after Week 7!

14. Cincinnati (2-4, 0-3 conference)

Cincinnati continues its loss streak against Big 12 football teams, falling at home to Iowa State 30-10. The team looked like a shell of itself. Jones was the passing leader and rushing leader in this game, and the offense could not get it going. Jones threw 2 interceptions and didn’t even get to 100 passing yards. The Bearcats take on Baylor this week at home and hopefully, they can right the offense to something passable for their remaining Big 12 schedule.
