Unlike previous weeks, Week 8 didn’t have any truly exciting Thursday or Friday night college football games to give us all an appetizer before an action-packed Saturday slate.

The weekend really started with the noon slate on Saturday with Ohio State hosting Penn State. The Nittany Lions were looking to make a statement and James Franklin was hoping to finally pick up a big road win, but they fell short, 20-12. Ohio State showed that it might just have the best defense in the Big Ten, suffocating Drew Allar and that offense.

Alabama stormed back from down 13-0 in the afternoon slate to beat Tennessee in Tuscaloosa as Nick Saban avoided a nightmare situation. Texas also had quite the scare in the afternoon slate, but the Longhorns were able to hold on for a win over Houston on the road.

Michigan took care of Michigan State at night without a second thought in the annual rivalry game and that meant that the top three should stay the same, but there could be a different order.

What will the AP Top 25 look like in Week 9?
