Will we see Texas drop this week after struggling to beat a .500 Houston team on the road? Honestly, it wouldn’t shock me. AP voters have been fairly harsh this season even in ugly wins and because the Longhorns needed a late touchdown to beat the Cougars on the road, it might cause a slight drop.

However, I do see the Longhorns as a top-10 team.

Quinn Ewers had a solid game with 23-of-29 completions for 211 yards and two touchdowns and Jonathon Brooks rushed for nearly 100 yards in the win. It wasn’t the prettiest of wins, but you have to take what you can get these days.

Steve Sarkisian has to be thankful that he was able to escape with a win after a bye week and two weeks removed from a demoralizing loss to Oklahoma in the Red River Rivalry.

The Longhorns will remain in the top 10, but I think we see them drop a spot or two.
