Could Notre Dame football still find its way into the top 10?

The Notre Dame footbaall might have lost a few tough games throughout the first half of its year, but the Irish still do have potential to finish in the top 10 if all goes right.

Sam Hartman is having a great seasons with 1,838 passing yards and 18 touchdowns, and Notre Dame is 6-2 having lost to Ohio State and Louisville, so when all is said and done, could the Irish find their way back into the top 10 by the end of the season?

Finishing in the top ten is definitely still in the cards for Notre Dame despite losing two games. They are currently the highest ranked team with two losses just ahead of Brian Kelly and LSU.

All Notre Dame has to do from here is continue to win these last four games. They are coming into a matchup with Pittsburgh this upcoming Saturday after a bye, and they have another bye week coming up after facing Clemson on the road.

Notre Dame played four straight undefeated teams in Ohio State, Duke, Louisville, and USC. While they only came away with wins in two of those games, their matchup against Ohio State still was one of the closest football games all season and could easily show that Notre Dame is a top ten team.

The Irish still have a few tests ahead on their schedule to show they area top team. Pittsburgh recently beat Louisville, whom Notre Dame lost to, and additionally Clemson is always a tough matchup for the Irish.

Notre Dame just has to jump four teams to get back into the top ten. To get there they just need to win their remaining games and hope that some of the teams in-front of them lose in their matchups ahead. One of Oregon and Utah will be losing ahead as they play each other this week so anything can happen.

The Irish have just four games left on the season. They face off against Pittsburgh, Clemson, Wake Forest and Stanford in their last four games.
