College Football Week 9 winner: Marvin Harrison Jr.

It was a bad week for Heisman Trophy-contending quarterbacks. Dillon Gabriel had a rough day in Kansas and Drake Maye’s North Carolina Tar Heels lost again.

Michael Penix had another big day. J.J. McCarthy was off and might still be the betting favorite after this week. However, after two second-half touchdowns against Wisconsin, basically willing the Buckeyes to a 24-10 win, Marvin Harrison Jr. should be considered a true Heisman contender.

Ohio State should be ranked in the top four on Tuesday too. But the Buckeyes need to beat Michigan to make the playoff or get a lot of help like they did last year (and go 11-1).

Yet, Marvin Harrison Jr. should join McCarthy, Penix, and Jayden Daniels as the true Heisman contenders right now. At least that’s the top four in my book.

College Football Week 9 loser: Colorado

After taking the college football world by storm, Colorado is going to have a tough time making a bowl game, following a 28-16 loss to UCLA.

Coach Prime saw his son Shilo get ejected from the game for targeting, and Shedeur Sanders also struggled at quarterback throwing for just 217 yards and one touchdown.

Colorado will host Oregon State and Arizona the next two weeks. The Buffaloes need to win at least one of those games because they close at Washington State and Utah.

On second thought, the Buffs might need to upset the Beavers at home next week in order to reach six wins, which isn’t something college football fans expected after the first few weeks of the season.
