Nothing can ever come easy anymore for Washington. The Huskies were cruising to wins earlier in the season while scoring boatloads of points, but those days of stress-free victories seem to be over.

In fact, Stanford even made the Huskies sweat things out a bit on Saturday night. The usually high scoring offense of Washington had a hard time moving the ball regularly as it had just a 21-13 lead at halftime over a 2-5 Stanford team that’s been playing with some confidence lately.

I think we’re going to see the playoff committee come down a little harder on the Huskies than AP voters will this week.

Coming into the weekend, the Huskies were ranked No. 5 in the AP Top 25, but I can see a team like Texas jumping them.

It’s going to be interesting to see what the committee does with Washington, but Saturday’s performance at Stanford was not ideal.
