Week 9 saw the fall of the final undefeated Big 12 football team and some dominating performances for the middle-of-the-pack teams.

We are finally back to what Big 12 Football is all about — high-scoring offenses and a lot of points hanging on the board. While OU finally fell to unranked Kansas this week in a game that came down to the final seconds, the rest of the conference put up double-digit wins against their opponents. Those who won did so in a dominating fashion, and the losers went home hanging their heads, some still without a win in the Big 12.

TCU and Texas Tech are coming into the week after a bye, which both teams desperately needed. We are past the point of no return in the Big 12 where there are no more bye weeks.

The conference is an even tighter race and the Big 12 Championship is wide open to whichever team takes the reins. Now, onto the Power Rankings after Week 9!

14. Cincinnati (2-6, 0-5 conference)

Cincinnati had the unfortunate task of traveling to Stillwater for a night game for their Homecoming. Always a bad sign for a team that has yet to find a win in the Big 12. The one bright side was Myles Montgomery’s 63-yard touchdown run early in the first quarter. Cincinnati didn’t score again until the end of the fourth quarter but Oklahoma State had already dominated the game. The Bearcats take on UCF this week, where one of these teams will finally get a Big 12 conference win.
