9. TCU (4-4, 2-3 conference)

We last saw TCU in a horrific-looking loss against Kansas State, where they only scored three points. The Horned Frogs have won two in conference games, but those were against Houston and BYU, both of which don’t have a pedigree of a record currently in the Big 12. TCU faces off against Texas Tech after their bye week, so each team should be refreshed for the matchup.

8. BYU (5-3, 2-3 conference)

BYU has had a roller coaster of a season so far and remains solidly in the middle of the pack in the Big 12. They lost terribly to a very good Texas team this weekend, and the offense didn’t score a touchdown the entire game. Quarterback Kendon Slovis completed only 25 of his passes and threw two interceptions. They travel to Morgantown to take on West Virginia after their dominating win.

7. West Virginia (5-3, 3-2 conference)

West Virginia bounced this week after their second conference loss. They put up 41 points on UCF which was carried by their dominant rushing game. Running back CJ Donaldson Jr. put up 121 yards and a touchdown, while fellow running back Garrett Greene took the short yardage and the touchdowns, with three on the ground. They face BYU in what should be a winnable game for this West Virginia team.
