3 reasons Washington football will beat USC

2. Washington’s defense is good enough.

I don’t believe the PAC-12 has an “elite” defense. The game between Washington and Oregon was quite high scoring, and those are two of the better defenses in the country. They may give up 25-30 points against this USC team, but they will be scoring 55+.

The Huskies defense has done what it needs to do, and if USC was stronger on defense it would be more of a concern. There will be plenty of points scored in this game, but I see at least a 20 point margin of victory for Washington.

There is a chance they can hold USC to less than that if they can get out to a quick lead and ride the wave of momentum. As mentioned, the Trojans are on the struggle bus at the moment and may have a hard time getting anything going.
