Arizona State vs. Utah: 3 bold predictions
2. There will be less than 30 points scored in this game.
I mentioned the limitations of the Utah football offense, which is due in large part to injuries to quarterback Cameron Rising and TE Brant Kuithe. These two are major missing pieces. The problem is they don’t seem to have the depth to make up for those losses.
However, I don’t see Arizona State football putting up a large number of points either. Utah is one of the better defenses in the PAC 12 and is probably going to hold Arizona State around 14 points.
It is a matter of whether or not they can surpass that number on the offensive side. Either way, my prediction is less than 30 for a game total. This will be a defensive slugfest, partially due to good defenses, and partially due to a lack of playmakers on offense.
