3. Kansas State football gets the win.
Perhaps the most bold prediction that I have for this game is a Kansas State football victory. It feels like this is lining up perfectly for an upset. I think the main factor here is the quarterback situation.
The one person who can prove me wrong here is Maalik Murphy. If he comes out and plays a nice clean game, I will likely get this wrong.
However, I believe the Kansas State defense is capable of slowing the Texas rushing attack enough to force Murphy to beat them. It is simply a matter of whether he can do it.
A loss would knock Texas football out of playoff contention and keep Kansas State football’s hopes of repeating as Big 12 champion alive and well.
