Fresno State may very well find its way into the playoff rankings this week, especially if it holds on to beat Boise State. The 7-1 Bulldogs were up 10 early in the first half and it looks like they’re going to cruise to an 8-1 mark. The playoff committee will notice.

Will Notre Dame drop out of the rankings? Not quite, but that loss to Clemson was a tough blow and will eliminate the Irish from the playoff race. Sam Hartman had a tough game and Audric Estime did all he could, but Notre Dame just fell behind early and could not catch up on Saturday. Another disappointing end to the season.

Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. W vs. Louisiana Tech. Last Week: NR. Liberty Flames. 23. player. 2382

Honestly, I’m shocked we didn’t see Jamey Chadwell and Liberty make the initial playoff rankings last week, but I don’t think there’s any doubt the Flames make it this week after improving to 9-0 with a win over Louisiana Tech. This may be the best Group of Five team in the country.

Although the Tar Heels only faced Campbell this week after not making the initial College Football Playoff rankings, they’re going to benefit from teams like Kansas State and Air Force losing. I think there’s a chance the committee keeps Kansas State in the rankings despite the loss to Texas, but I still think North Carolina climbs back in after Drake Maye’s four-touchdown performance.

Tulane escaped an absolute nightmare scenario at East Carolina in Week 10, winning 13-10. While the committee could decide to drop the Green Wave from the rankings for this ugly win against a 1-7 team, I think they’ll hold on to a spot near the bottom thanks to some teams around them losing.
