After Week 10 of the college football season, we resume our power rankings of college football quarterbacks.

With each week, it seems like there are fluctuations in the College Football Playoff race, as well as the Heisman Trophy race.

When it comes to college football quarterbacks, often the best one winds up winning the Heisman Trophy. It’s the most important position in the game and the college football teams with the best quarterbacks tend to do pretty well.

You’ll see that reflected on this list and here are the updated power rankings for college football quarterbacks after Week 10.

10. Jalen Milroe, Alabama

Jalen Milroe had a lot of doubters but the Alabama quarterback rushed for four touchdowns last week, as well as 155 yards. He also completed 15-of-23 passes for 219 yards in a win over LSU. It was the second straight win over a ranked team for Alabama with Milroe at quarterback. Milroe is actually 3-1 this season against ranked opponents and even though he has just 13 touchdown passes, he also has nine rushing touchdowns and ranks 12th in QBR.

9. Drake Maye, North Carolina

Maye’s Heisman hopes were hurt by North Carolina’s recent back-to-back losses. He was dropped a little in our power ranking of college football quarterbacks too. However, Maye had six touchdowns total compared to just one interception in those losses. Maye has 20 total touchdowns and is just 15th in QBR. But I’d take him over Milroe right now and we have to remember that stats aren’t everything. Maye had four touchdown passes last week and has had six straight games with at least three total touchdowns.

8. Carson Beck, Georgia

The solid play continues for Carson Beck who threw for 254 yards and two touchdown passes against Missouri in a 30-21 win for the Bulldogs. Beck has had five games with multiple touchdown passes. His performance also didn’t drop off much without Brock Bowers in the lineup last week. Of course, Georgia doesn’t lack talent, but it’s been impressive to watch Beck work. He’s thrown for at least 250 yards in each game and ranks 10th in QBR.
