4. Bo Nix, Oregon

The Oregon quarterback continues to put up big numbers. Last week, in the win over California, he tossed four touchdown passes in addition to throwing for 386 yards. He also rushed three yards for two touchdowns. Nix has been completing 78.1 percent of his passes this season and is ranked fourth among college football quarterbacks with 25 touchdown passes. He also has five rushing touchdowns giving him 30 total. He’s ranked third in QBR and at this point, I wouldn’t count out Nix at all when it comes to the Heisman Trophy.

3. J.J. McCarthy, Michigan

After a bye week, McCarthy was a little rusty last week. However, Michigan football fans would take a quarterback completing 23-of-37 passes for 337 yards any day of the week. McCarthy was a little shaky on third down after being near-perfect in third-and-long situations prior to the Purdue game. Still, McCarthy is second in QBR and has 21 total touchdowns. He’s also competed 75.9 percent of his passes and should be a first-round pick.
