2. Jayden Daniels, LSU

Daniels has been incredible this season for the Tigers. Jayden is second in college football in touchdown passes with 27. He’s also thrown just four interceptions and has rushed for 688 yards. Daniels threw for 219 yards and two scores, plus a pick against Bama, but also rushed for 169 yards in a 42-28 loss. He did have the one interception, but he leads college football quarterbacks in QBR and if the Tigers didn’t have three losses, he’d be leading the Heisman race.

1. Michael Penix Jr.

Penix is holding the No. 1 spot right now in our power ranking of college football quarterbacks. However, the Washington Huskies quarterback has 26 touchdown passes. He also has seven interceptions including five over the past four games.

Penix has thrown a pick in at least four straight games and if that continues, it will be hard to win the Heisman Trophy. His 3,201 yards lead college football and his QBR is ranked fourth. But he’s got to pick it up down the stretch.
