No. 4 Florida State: Buying

I am buying for one reason only, the ACC is a joke and the committee won’t keep out an undefeated conference champion.

Florida State has a good offense with Jordan Travis throwing to Keon Coleman and Johnny Wilson, but neither of those guys is healthy right now. This is a good team, but I don’t view them as a championship caliber team. You just don’t need to be to beat Miami, North Alabama, and Florida before playing No. 11 Louisville in the ACC Championship game.

I was on the sidelines for Louisville’s loss to Pitt. Any team that losses to Pitt this season, doesn’t deserve to be ranked at all. Jack Plummer was dying to throw an interception that whole game and after a pick-six, he made sure he added another one for good measure. FSU will be just fine.

No. 3 Michigan: Buying

So remember the case I made about how Oregon hasn’t beaten anyone? Yeah, I’m going to play by different rules when it comes to Michigan and the eye test.

Nobody is even coming close to giving the Wolverines a scare, except for the NCAA and I’m fairly certain that Jim Harbaugh isn’t afraid of their sanctions. The defense might be the best in the country and JJ McCarthy has turned into easily the best Big Ten QB.

Michigan is the favorite to win it all for a reason. They’ll pound Penn State on Saturday and jump to No. 1 then, beat Ohio State on their way to a national championship. I said I bet Alabama, but that was for the value. My prediction is that Michigan wins it. This team is a juggernaut.
