Week 11 of the college football season is upon us and the Heisman Trophy race is really starting to heat up. At this point in the year, the top candidates have separated themselves from the pack and we actually have a new entrant into the Heisman watch this week.

Take a look at the post-Week 10 Heisman Trophy power rankings. Does anyone surprise you?

Just missed the cut: Caleb Williams, JJ McCarthy, Carson Beck, Marvin Harrison Jr., Jalen Milroe

The fact that it’s taken me this long to add Ollie Gordon to the list should be a crime. The Oklahoma State running back has been dominating all season long and he caught my attention a little extra this past weekend as he ran for 138 yards and two touchdowns in a win over Oklahoma.

While his line wasn’t crazy, seeing as he averaged just 4.2 yards per carry, he’s still averaging about 7.0 yards per carry for the season and he’s over 1,200 yards with 12 scores.

As if that wasn’t enough, he’s also a threat in the passing game with 22 catches for 219 yards and two more touchdowns. He’s accounted for over 1,400 total yards and 14 touchdowns on the season and he’s the main reason Oklahoma State has been surprising people all year.

The Cowboys likely have to win out if he wants to remain in the Heisman race, but he’s proven to be the nation’s top running back.
