I sadly had to drop Jayden Daniels down to No. 4 and it’s to no fault of his own. He didn’t do anything wrong to drop a couple of spots from last week. No, this is on his defense. The Tigers can’t seem to stop anyone on defense and that’s why they lost their third game of the season and they’re in need of a ‘win out’ scenario in order to give Daniels a legit shot.

Daniels and the Tigers came up just short against Alabama on Saturday and he also suffered an injury that knocked him out of the game and he’s questionable for Week 11 against Florida.

If he doesn’t play, his Heisman hopes are likely crushed.

But he deserves to be in the conversation. He’s been a superstar all season long and if LSU was 7-2 or 8-1 instead of 6-3, he’d probably be the frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy.

On the year, Daniels has 2,792 yards and 27 touchdowns with just four picks while rushing for another 684 yards and six touchdowns. His numbers through nine games are eerily similar to those of Joe Burrow in 2019 when he won the Heisman at LSU.

Just think about that for a second.
