2. Urban Meyer, retired HC

Would Urban Meyer come back to college football to coach? I honestly feel like the answer is yes, if it’s in the right spot. Texas A&M could be the right spot for him.

As a Michigan State fan, I’ve been dying to have Meyer coach the Spartans since Mel Tucker was fired and I’ll still be on that train until he either says ‘no thanks’ publicly or takes a job elsewhere and this would be one of those destination jobs that could lure the all-time great coach out of retirement.

Right now, he’s a FOX Sports analyst on Big Noon Kickoff and he gets paid big money to not have to stress about coaching football and he’ll be 60 by the time the 2024 season starts.

But the way his tenure in Jacksonville ended makes me think that he’s not done.

It would make sense for Texas A&M to at least reach out to Meyer and gauge his interest before moving on to some other big names. Landing a top-three head coach of all time would almost guarantee success in College Station.
