After a deflating 0-5 start to conference play, UCF football has won two straight in the Big 12. Their first victory came against fellow AAC expatriate Cincinnati, but the biggest win for Gus Malzahn’s squad came last week over Big 12 incumbent Oklahoma State. The Knights trounced the 15th-ranked Cowboys 45-3, exorcizing their demons in league play.

With the seal broken, UCF football can move on to its next goal: attaining bowl eligibility.

To do so, they’ll have to win one of their final two games. Their first shot comes this week on the road at Texas Tech.

The Red Raiders are an erratic 5-5 on the season. They beat 16th-ranked Kansas last week and played 13th-ranked Oregon close early in the year, but they’ve also dropped games to middling teams like Wyoming and BYU.

UCF football has a great opportunity to finish their season strong, but there’s no telling which version of Texas Tech they’ll be up against on Saturday. As far as the Knights are concerned, let’s make some bold predictions for Saturday’s Big 12 showdown.
