844. . . . Danny Ford. 5. player

Danny Ford was a part of the mess in Fayetteville in the ’90s. He took over for another coach on this list and couldn’t save a sinking ship.

Ford actually has a very similar arc to Pittman, he took over for a coach who create a full-scale disaster, then had one solid season before regressing and fading away. Ford led Arkansas to 8-5 and the SEC West title in 1995 before posting back-to-back 4-7 seasons in ’96 and ’97.

Ford ended his career at Arkansas 25-31-1 across five seasons with a loss in the Carquest Bowl, his only bowl game appearance.

A bit of longevity separates Ford from the next coach on this list who was not long for the job.
