As we come down to the home stretch of the college football season, we turn our focus to the postseason, examining all the biggest conference championships. Some conferences still use divisions, like the SEC, Big Ten, Sun Belt, and the MAC.

Here are the clinching scenarios for the weekend’s slate of games.

ACC

Dec. 2 at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, N.C.

No. 4 Florida State finished conference play this past weekend against Miami and clinched the top seed in the ACC, finishing undefeated. Please note while NC State and Virginia Tech are both 4-2 and able to finish 6-2, they both have head-to-head losses against Louisville which would mean the Cardinals would take the second seed via tiebreaker.

Eligible Teams:

    1. Florida State (8-0) (clinched spot)
    2. Louisville (6-1)
      Clinching Scenario: Win at Miami.
    3. UNC (4-2)
Staying-Alive-Scenario: Louisville loss and win at Clemson.

ACC tiebreaker procedure.
