After last week’s loss to Alabama, I was ready to remove Jayden Daniels from the Heisman Trophy contenders list completely, but it was no fault of his own. His defense let him down yet again and he went down with an injury late in the game that looked like it might derail his season.

Fortunately, the injury wasn’t too serious and LSU bounced back with a 17-point win over Florida in Week 11.

In that win over the Gators, Daniels passed for 372 yards on an impressive 14.3 yards per attempt to go along with three touchdowns and no interceptions. As if that wasn’t good enough, he rushed for 234 yards and two touchdowns on 12 carries.

Daniels has passed for 3,164 yards and 34 touchdowns on 71 percent completions this season and he’s about to surpass 1,000 rushing yards along with eight touchdowns on the ground as well.
Yes, he has to be on this list with those numbers.
