We’ve officially moved one week closer to the College Football Playoff now that Week 12 is in the books.

It started as a sleepy day of action with a very subpar noon slate of games with arguably the closest matchups being Penn State and Rutgers (somehow) and Miami vs. Louisville. Both of those games were fairly close and impacted Tuesday’s playoff rankings.

Penn State was able to pull away late and Louisville outlasted Miami.

The afternoon slate was much more interesting with some ranked battles on the slate such as Arizona vs. Utah and Georgia at Tennessee. Many expected these two games to be tightly contested, but they really weren’t which was shocking. Arizona raced out to a monster lead and held on for a win and Georgia put the hurt on Tennessee in Knoxville.

Georgia looks darn near unbeatable.

In the evening slate, we saw a horrible injury that might just crush Florida State’s national title hopes as Jordan Travis went down and it did not look good (watch at your own risk).

The rankings are going to look a lot different on Tuesday with some new teams. What will it look like?
