College Football Week 12 Winner: Louisville

It’s hard to believe but Louisville football is headed to the ACC championship game and believe it or not, the Cardinals are still alive for the College Football Playoff.

The job done by first-year head coach Jeff Brohm is nothing short of incredible. Flat out, he deserves to be the National Coach of the Year in my book, as well as the ACC Coach of The Year.

I know Mike Norvell has done an incredible job with Florida State, but the Noles were expected to be a national title contender. Zero people predicted Lousiville football would be ranked in the top 10.

And sort of like the USC-UCLA situation, Mario Cristobal of Miami might be on the hot seat before too long after another disappointing season. A win over Louisville would have changed the narrative.

Instead, Miami blew a 28-23 lead and was outscored at home by 15-3 by a Louisville football team that’s where the Hurricanes are supposed to be. Or at least where they expected to be when the Hurricanes hired Cristobal.
