4. Billy Napier, Florida

Billy Napier came to the University of Florida as the hot new hire from the University of Louisiana-Lafayette. Napier compiled an astounding record of 40-12 at ULL before he was hired at Florida in 2021.

Then came the SEC.

In two years, Napier has led the Gators to 6-7, and 5-6 records respectively. These kinds of numbers simply aren’t good enough for a team that expects to be consistently ranked in the top 10.

A win this week over heated rival, Florida State, would certainly help his cause, but the writing might already be on the wall in Gainesville.
