We update the Big 12 Football Power Rankings every week. This week saw statement wins for those still in the running for the Big 12 Championship.

This is it, the final stretch before the Big 12 Football Championship on Saturday, December 2nd. We have one week left before the big game and there is still confusion as to which teams will be playing for the Big 12 title.

The Texas Longhorns seemingly clinched one spot in the championship with a win over Iowa State. Oklahoma State controls its own destiny in the conference, and a win over Houston certainly helped its chances of making it in the second spot.

Kansas State continued its dominance over Kansas in the Sunflower Showdown, while newcomer Cincinnati still struggled in the new conference.

Let’s take a look at the Big 12 Football Power Rankings after week 12 and the path to the Big 12 Championship.

14. Cincinnati (3-8, 1-7 conference)

Cincinnati continues to be the bottom of the barrel in the Big 12. Their one win in the conference this season came against a Houston team that has been just as terrible in conference play. Against West Virginia though, the Bearcats were no match. The offense couldn’t get any kind of rhythm, gaining only 332 total yards compared to the Mountaineers’ 634 yards. The defense continually gave up the big plays to West Virginia, and couldn’t stop their passing attack. For the last game of the season, they face off against Kansas at home.
