Historical stats

A rivalry article is never complete with stats, but these ones might surprise you.

There was actually a time when Oregon State led the rivalry (and they actually still hold a lead in multiple sports like baseball), until the Ducks became a much more successful program than what they usually were in the early to mid-20th century, as of now, the Ducks lead the series with 67 wins in favor of them, 49 wins in favor of the Beavers and 10 ties.

There’s also a pretty interesting stat that ran from 1997 through 2006, with that one being the home team winning the matchup every time between that period, with the visiting team’s last win being in 1996, however, the streak of home teams winning was snapped in 2007 when Oregon State won in overtime at Autzen Stadium.

A similar streak is going on right now, with the last road team win being Oregon’s 55-15 win in Corvallis back in 2018, during Jonathan Smith’s first season as the Beavers’ head coach.
