5. Drake Maye Will Play His Last Game for the North Carolina Tar Heels
UNC and NC State will meet on Saturday night with Mack Brown and the Tar Heels looking for their second consecutive 9-win season.
Consider Drake Maye the architect of those last two seasons.
Last year, Maye put up eye-popping numbers, throwing for over 4,300 yards and 38 touchdowns, with only 7 interceptions. While he has come back to earth a bit this season, he is still having a great year with 3,300 yards and 22 touchdowns and possesses a skill set that has NFL Scouts extremely excited about his potential
Drake Maye has done what he needed to do at North Carolina to cement himself as a top 3 pick in this year’s NFL Draft.
While he has been non-committal on whether or not he will be declaring for the NFL Draft at the end of the season, I think Maye will forego any bowl games, and focus his sights on the NFL.
