Talk about making life easy for a quarterback. Luther Burden III has carried Brady Cook and the Missouri offense this season. Running back Cody Schrader has been excellent as well, but Burden makes this offense dynamic.

Cook has completed 67% of his passes for 3,077 yards and 18 touchdowns and is averaging 9.3 yards per attempt. Missouri is 20th in total offense and 16th in yards per play, and plenty of that production is directly tied to Burden. Brady Cook is 81st in the country in average depth of target at 9.4 but manages to average 9.3 yards per attempt because of his No. 1 receiver.

Luther Burden III has racked up 1,142 receiving yards and eight touchdowns this season on 77 catches, for an average of 14.8 yards per grab. A staggering 679 of those yards have come after the catch. Burden is second in the country in YAC behind Caullin Lacy of South Alabama, and Burden averages 8.8 yards after the catch per reception.

Without Burden turning short throws into big gains consistently, this Missouri offense would not be the same.
