The transfer portal has not officially opened, but the big ones are starting to appear in the portal. Kansas State football senior quarterback Will Howard has entered his name into the transfer portal. Howard entered the portal as a graduate transfer and will have one year of eligibility.

Will Howard has 5,786 passing yards and 48 passing touchdowns during his time as a Kansas State quarterback. He took over as the Wildcats starting quarterback this season. He had an 8-4 record, with 2,643 passing yards and 24 touchdowns. He also added 364 yards and nine touchdowns on the ground. He was a massive part of the running game of the 15th-best rushing offense in the country.

Will Howard was a three-star recruit in the class of 2020. Before committing to Kansas State, Howard unofficially visited Pittsburgh, Penn State, and Syracuse. Those three schools will at least reach out to Howard.

Howard is from Downington, Penn., so it could be a scenario to get closer to home. Either way you look at it, another great signal-caller has entered the transfer portal. The fun is only beginning, and much more fun will come.

Sam Hartman is leaving Notre Dame this offseason because he has no more eligibility so the Fighting Irish could be a potential spot for the quarterback. Hartman played great under Marcus Freeman, so Howard could also be another quarterback who could thrive under Freeman.
