3. Oregon

The Ducks will need a new starting quarterback after the departure of Bo Nix to the NFL. There are some talented guys on the roster but nobody that’s proven.

That’s where Cameron Ward comes in. Oregon is one of the teams in the mix and NIL is never an issue for the Ducks. Ward also has familiarity with the program since he’s played in the same conference the past two seasons.

You can never count out the Ducks and Dan Lanning, but I have a feeling they’ll find a different transfer portal quarterback. Ward just doesn’t run as much as Oregon prefers, so I see someone else running the show in Eugene.

2. Ohio State

Kyle McCord threw 24 touchdown passes and had over 3,000 yards passing, but the two interceptions in ‘The Game’ were enough to make Ohio State look elsewhere.

The Buckeyes are a team interested in Ward and one of the top contenders. So you can see why the current starter, McCord, decided to transfer.

Ohio State needs to have its NIL game ready, but Ward would be a great fit. He’s extremely talented and throws the ball well downfield. That would be perfect for what Ryan Day wants to do, plus the Buckeyes are loaded with wide receiver talent.

The Buckeyes are also going to be highly motivated and they are a team to watch with Ward.
