2. Gasparilla Bowl: Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets vs. UCF Knights

Throughout college football, running backs are a big key for any offense to run smoothly like Missouri and Michigan. Those two teams are playing in two of the biggest games of the year but, there is a running back in this game that gets the same considerations just like Blake Corum and Cody Schrader.

The running back is UCF’s R.J Harvey who is the 10th best rusher and tied for 6th with 16 touchdowns. Harvey and UCF will be facing off against the Yellow Jackets in the Union Home Mortgage Gasparilla Bowl on ESPN at 6:30.

As we approach this bowl game, the 6-6 Knights are picked to win with a 66% by ESPN analytics over the 6-6 Yellow Jackets. Knowing that Harvey will be in all the talks of the game, the Yellow Jackets have a star as well. The Yellow Jackets have Haynes King to lead the charge. King is ranked the 38th best passer in FBS but he has given the 3rd most interceptions this year with 15. UCF’s defense is 34th in passing yards given up so, will King and Yellow Jackets continue to throw?

Knowing that UCF has a running back like Harvey, the Yellow Jackets also need to be aware of the dual-threat quarterback in John Rhys Plumlee. Plumlee hasn’t had the passing game that he has wanted but, it was backed up with his legs to create plays. The Knights are going up against a defense that has given up 14th most yards this year. The Yellow Jackets are facing Jason Johnson, who is ranked 37th in total tackles and dynamic defense.

There will be no jackets being needed in Tampa but, who will provide the biggest punch to pull away the victor? Will the Knights swing their sword towards victory or the Yellow Jackets “sting” a win?
