Virginia Tech:

The Hokies had a much better season compared to the 2022 season, which ended with a 3-8 record. They found their next quarterback in Kyron Drones, barring anything happening. Drones had a great season; he threw for 1,993 yards and 15 touchdowns. They will be playing in the Military Bowl against Tulane.

The best player that entered the transfer portal at this moment in time is defensive back Derrick Canteen. Canteen transferred in from Georgia Southern; he had 42 tackles, six pass deflections, two tackles for loss, and an interception during the 2023 season.

Canteen has reported offers from Cincinnati, Oregon State, and Indiana.

Wake Forest:

Wake started the season with a 3-0 record, and the season went bad from there. They ended with a 4-8 record, losing eight of their last nine games. They were at the bottom of the ACC with a 1-7 record in conference play. From that alone, you could tell they were going to have players transfer out.

The Demon Deacons had 14 players enter the transfer portal. The best player was wide receiver Jahmal Banks. Banks led Wake in receiving yards and receptions and tied for receiving touchdowns. During the 2023 season, Banks had 59 receptions for 653 yards and four touchdowns.

Banks has reported offers from Purdue and West Virginia.
