1. Week 10 vs. Oho State (Nov. 2)

Everyone knows James Franklin and Penn State just cannot quite seem to figure out the Buckeyes as they have not beaten them since 2016. It has seemingly become a routine for Penn State to win every game they should each year but lose to Ohio State consequently knocking them out of playoff contention.

Thanks to the 12-team playoff that could be different this season. Does Penn State have to win this game to make the playoff? No. Would a win likely guarantee a playoff spot and possible first round bye? Yes.

While the easier schedule, avoiding matchups with Michigan and Oregon, may seem nice to Penn State fans, it is unfortunate for James Franklin as this game will be his only chance in the regular season to win “the big one”.

Penn State should enter this game undefeated and will get to play in an electric Beaver Stadium. Although they are more than capable of doing it, I expect Penn State to fall to the Buckeyes once again.
