Ryan Grubb, Alabama OC

Grubb was a candidate for the Washington job before it went to Jedd Fisch. Grubb is now set to follow Kalen DeBoer to Alabama but if I was running the coaching search for Arizona football, I would interview Grubb.

Why not replace one offensive guru with another? Fisch is a guy that was known for his offensive prowess and his ability to work with quarterbacks. Grubb would be in that same mold.

Yes, it would be a bit of a gamble. There are likely to be candidates with head-coaching experience that are looking for this job, but the offensive gurus tend to have success. It really feels like Arizona could lean into the Big 12 style of play and with Grubb, it feels like there's a chance the Wildcats could continue their current trajectory.
