Early Signing Day for the 2024 college football recruiting class has come and gone. There were some major moves on signing day once again. There were even more that happened prior.

There were some flips on Early Signing Day -- plenty of them. However, there were also some key flips in the 2024 college football recruiting class prior to Wednesday and we consider all of them and rank the top five flips this cycle.

5. Oregon flips Jeremiah McClellan

McClellan is ranked 49th overall according to the 247 Sports composite rankings and seemed destined to go to Ohio State. The Buckeyes were able to hold onto No. 1 overall recruit Jeremiah Smith, but McClellan wound up flipping to Oregon, which is another signing day victory for Dan Lanning and the Ducks. Oregon flipped a four-star quarterback on 2023 Early National Signing Day. This time around, Oregon landed an elite wideout, which many view as a five-star talent.

4. KJ Bolden flips to Georgia

Georgia had an up-and-down early signing period in the 2024 college football recruiting class. Bulldogs fans can justify the loss of Dylan Raiola however they want -- but he was going to be the most talented quarterback of the Kirby Smart era and it's a hit.

However, the Bulldogs have plenty of quarterback talent. They also have more talent everywhere else than just about every other college football team, so UGA will be fine. The Bulldogs also provided a mood lift for their fans on signing day by flipping five-star DB KJ Bolden from Florida State. Bolden is 6-foot-1 185 pounds and ranked 14th overall in the 2024 college football recruiting class. He's also the top-ranked safety, as well as an elite playmaker.
