3. Alex Orji, Michigan

Michigan was left with a hole at the quarterback position after JJ McCarthy led the Wolverines to a national title and declared for the NFL draft.

After spring ball, Orji seems to be more than likely the guy to take over the reins. He may look more like your typical linebacker with his 6-foot-3, 235-pound frame (think Jalen Milroe), but his skills as a quarterback fit the Michigan offense well. He did see some snaps at the end of last season when Wolverines implemented a package for Orji where he would come in and run the ball from the quarterback position.

While he may not be the best passer, he is extremely athletic and great at running the ball. He may not need to throw the ball much though as Michigan has shown it's fine with running the rock and Orji just adds another run threat to their back field alongside Donovan Edwards.

Orji will have a huge spotlight on him as he tries to fill the shoes of McCarthy and lead the defending national champions.
