Florida State

Florida State is another team in search of a transfer portal quarterback. The Seminoles will be hosting Cameron Ward, who also visited Miami this week.

Ward is one of the top-ranked quarterbacks in the transfer portal after throwing 48 touchdown passes over the past two seasons at Washington State.

The Noles are also expected to host DJ Uiagalelei, but if the Noles don't hit on either of those quarterbacks, Maalik Murphy could be an option for Mike Norvell and company.

Ohio State

The Buckeyes haven't shown much interest in transfer portal quarterbacks at this point. Devin Brown is going to start the Orange Bowl, plus Air Noland, a top-100 quarterback in the 2024 class will also be on campus.

Murphy might be an interesting piece to add to the mix. He's got multiple years of eligibility and under Ryan Day, who has developed plenty of productive quarterbacks at Ohio State, Murphy could be special.

Yet, it seems like there isn't a clear path for Murphy to play at Ohio State, which is why it's probably not as likely, but he'd have a shot to win the job, which could be enough to get him there.
