Alabama football: 3 ideal replacements for Nick Saban as head coach
2. Lane Kiffin, Ole Miss HC
Lane Kiffin has had a wild career to this point and he's still young at just 48 years old. He's coached in the NFL, he's spent time at USC, and he even went to FAU to coach after a short stint under Nick Saban at Alabama as his offensive coordinator.
To say Kiffin has experience would be an understatement. And now he's at Ole Miss leading one of the best programs in the SEC over the past few seasons and he's always in the mix when it comes to head coaching searches but there hasn't been one yet that would really catch his attention -- replacing Saban would have to qualify as a "can't miss" opportunity.
Kiffin has had more success than any coach at Ole Miss in decades, winning 10-plus games in two of the past three seasons and he's 34-15 in four seasons with the Rebels which is impressive given the fact that they were in a bad spot when he took over.
Not only is Kiffin familiar with Alabama and Saban would probably give him a glowing endorsement, but he recruits at a high level and knows how to win in the SEC.
I have no doubt that he'd have success in Tuscaloosa.
