3. Kalen DeBoer, Washington HC

Much like Mike Norvell, Huskies head coach Kalen DeBoer would be more of a practical hire than a splash. He did just lead Washington to the national title game. There is something to be said about a coach who has won everywhere he's coached. While Alabama is a horse of a different color, DeBoer has shown the ability to run a program and win at a championship level at every coaching stop.

DeBoer won at Sioux Falls, Fresno, and Washington. The Huskies used Big Ten money to sign him to a fat contract extension. However, if Alabama calls, you have to pick up the phone. DeBoer has never coached in the South, and he might be happy in Seattle.

While DeBoer has a $12 million buyout, which won't be an issue for the Crimson Tide. Alabama might want a coach with SEC experience, however, DeBoer can recruit and has proven that during his time at Washington. The question for DeBoer is whether or not he wants to coach and recruit in the viper pit that is the SEC.
