3. Texas (12-2)

It will pain a lot of college football fans to say it, but Texas is actually back.

After finishing the 2023 season with a 12-2 record, including a Big 12 title game blowout over No. 18 Oklahoma State and a College Football Playoff appearance, Steve Sarkisian and the Longhorns are expected to be back in the thick of things next season, especially with Quinn Ewers announcing he will be returning.

Ewers got off to a great start in 2023 and was in Heisman talks before coming back down to earth a little bit but I'd expect him to be one of the top contenders in 2024, even with Arch Manning nipping at his heels.

The Longhorns also bring in the No. 4 recruiting class in the country to go along with tight end transfer Amari Niblack from Alabama, wide receiver transfer Silas Bolden from Oregon State, receiver transfer Isaiah Bond from Alabama, EDGE transfer Trey Moore from UTSA, safety transfer Andrew Mukuba from Clemson, and receiver transfer Matthew Golden from Houston.

This team upgraded and I'm almost positive that the offense is going to be electric again.
